Bilingual Japanese-English calligraphy workshop organized by Shizupop

Details

DATE: November 2017

PLACE: Australia Embassy With the theme of “Reflecting on the past year and how you want to spend the rest of your time”,
designed a time for each participant to express their thoughts and feelings in their own “Kanji” (Chinese character).

The workshop was well received as a cultural experience that emphasizes introspection and dialogue, quietly aligning thoughts and emotions through calligraphy.

Reflections

Having spent a year in Australia 🇦🇺🐨✨at the age of sixteen, I have many fond memories from that time. It was my honor to share MatchaSho®︎ with the Australian Embassy in Japan.

“Shoran is such an amazing artist. I love her oversized calligraphy works. The boys and I were lucky enough to try our hand at “matchasho” (traditional calligraphy using green tea) with her today. It was a fun cultural experience for all of us…”
