This abstract art is made by Sumi ink on Kawamata Silk and “Matcha Shodo” (Japanese Matcha Calligraphy).
“Matcha Shodo” is an original Calligraphy style of replacing the traditional black ink with organic matcha. This original practice of Zen Japanese Calligraphy is produced by Shizuoka-based Calligrapher, Shoran. Shoran uses tea leaves that are wasted and otherwise discarded in the manufacturing process.
The bitter-sweet aroma of matcha fills the air, clearing the mind.
